NRG Engine Services strives
to be your ‘sole-source provider,’
taking an engineered
approach to engine maintenance and
parts
supply. We provide warranted parts, as well as field,
shop and engineering services backed up by years of
experience
and performance.
Since we have operated and maintained our own
Cooper-
Bessemer
engines since the mid-1980s, we know how they
work,
how to service
them and what best practices can mean
to an efficient operation.
And we know other engines as well,
so you don't need to go anywhere
else. In fact we stock more
than 65,000 parts at
our 20,000-sq-ft warehouse in Harrisburg, Pa.,
and we’re
on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Since 1996, NRG Engine Services has served the municipal, institutional
and industrial power generation and gas compression industries.
Our customers always get the
best we have to offer. Many of our employees were instrumental
in the in the development and installation of our own engine-driven
cogeneration
facility.

Our Plant Profile
NRG
Engine Services actually runs an engine-driven plant.
We are
unaware of any other 'engine service provider' that
can make
the same claim. Here's a plant profile:
We have two 20-cylinder 8600 HP Cooper-Bessemer LSVB
engines
that drive generators to produce 12 MW of electricity.
We capture
the waste heat from the engines and the exhaust
steam to cogenerate
steam and preheat boiler feedwater.
When base loaded, the plant
operated at a capacity factor in
excess of 92 percent over a
10-year period.
